We're such good looking animals! Posted by Picasa

Still Blogging!

Alright, who knew I would make it this far!

Today at work I discovered that the new person that we had hired was taking credit for all of the work I was doing. She was fired tonight for other reasons. So long Elena.

Other than that, Kate and I have picked out our bridesmaid dresses and ordered them today! Yay!!!! Matching dresses here we come (along with secret pirate identities).

Work is good. We are really picking up steam for the Apollo event. On Friday we have our second benefit committee meeting. Danny Glover will be there. Along with Ron Carter the famous jazz bassist. It's going to be informative, fun, and hopefully profitable.

My favorite though of the last week and a half though has been the wedding. I am such a lucky woman. I feel in love at first sight and knew right away that Kate was the woman I wanted to be with. Luckily she figured it out as well and now we're planning for an event to share our love publicly with our friends and family. Who ever thought you could be lucky enough to marry your best friend, the person who understands you best, loves your flaws, and that you can argue with in such a way that all things are resolved and your love remains intact?

I am lucky.

My other favorite thought though is the month and a half I will get to spend with Ishy this summer. Keith is going to Ecuador for a month so Ishy is going to come to the wedding and then spend some time this summer on the east coast. I can't wait.

Also, I need to give a shout out to Cherie who survived her first riot in Dublin and still give a spanking good presentation in class. Rock on girl!

Peace out homies. Much love.

Hi Libby! Posted by Picasa

Good Day!

Today Kate, Libby (who was visiting from D.C) and I all went to the Museum of Natural History in NYC. They were having a special Darwin exhibit that we had all been dying to see and it did not dissapoint.

I reviewed my understanding of Evolution and it's intricacies, I learned more about the man, the myth, the legend than I ever thought possible, and I saw a live iguana and a dozen or so orchids. It was fantastic. We also, of course, saw the dinosaurs and the big blue whale. All in all it was a fantastic, and tiring day.

We just dropped Libby off at the Port Authority to go home and be with her Scott. Said to see her go, but happy she's so happy in DC.

Well, I believe Kate and I will spend the rest of the evening eating ice cream and watching the end of the Olympics. What a great way to spend a Saturday!

And today there was a riot in Dublin. Cherie is ok. She was locked down in the library on campus though for a few hours as the rioting was occuring to close to let her outside. Eventually she returned home though. I'm glad you're ok and I'm sending some "Cah Caw's" your way Cherie.

Thought for the day: Why is it that I wake up with bad eighties music in my head nearly everyday?

Me and Cherie representing the 'Cuse! Posted by Picasa

February 24th 2006

Keith said I should start a blog so that people couldmore easily keep up with what is going on in my life. So here goes my attempt to stay on top of blogging and update this page as regularly as Jaimely possible.

Today I had breakfast with my best friend here in NYC: Kenna Stevens. We went to our favorite dinner together, Daisy's, and as is becomming usual, we both ordered Belgian Waffles with whipped cream. MMMMMMMM.... So good!

Kenna got a promotion at work last week. Hey Hey Hey! You go girl! New Mexico represent.

I then went to work did a ton of stuff until around 2:30 when I went to meet Kate, Alissa, and Libby at a bridal shop. Alissa tried on some more wedding gowns and Alissa and Libby were kind enough to try on bridesmaids dresses for Kate and me.

We found one we think we really like and that we can order in a color that is very close to the trim of my future wedding dress. So YAY! for that.

We all then went and had some coffee. And then I dragged my tired self home to relax and do some work.

Libby and Kate should be coming home soon and I'm sure a wonderful pajama party will ensue.

Also, Cherie finally sent me a photo of her thumbnail (she slammed it in a taxi's door; ouch!). It looked just like she described. That girl is definetly tough!

Ok, so first post down and let's see how many are to come...
